The Challenge.
The existing telehealth experience had a 73% drop-off rate during patient onboarding — users were abandoning the app before completing their first appointment.
Lumina Health's mission was to make telehealth accessible for everyone, from tech-savvy millennials to elderly patients with limited digital literacy. Their existing app, built by a previous agency, had poor accessibility, confusing navigation, and video calls that frequently dropped on low-bandwidth connections.
We were tasked with a full redesign and re-engineering of their React Native mobile app — improving onboarding flows, building a reliable WebRTC video stack, and ensuring WCAG 2.1 AA compliance across every screen.
